So sorry to send you over the edge AE. $204 would probably buy a week of food for 2 families, maybe more. I really don't think this NSFOC thing will take off; your $204 is financing Shaun's Bermuda vaca. Imagine how many families Spangler's $18,000 would have fed last year. Obviously over 88 times as many as AE's money would. How much did you donate to L&F this week or how much did you get to deduct for 2007 overall on your taxes? Do we really want to go down this diversionary direction?

She seems to have lots of time on her hands - maybe she could put that to good use by feeding the hungry?

Funny you ask Webe204, there is talk on the "green" board about condemning the AME land. YIKES! I would never condemn "church land". Talk about bad Karma.... I would like to defend the poster who (in her words) asked a "stupid" question - why wouldn't the SB condemn the Church property? It was not a suggestion but more an observation about how things are going in this district. It's better not to let rumors like this get started; there's enough crap around already. Sushi Yes, the poster on the other board simply asked a question. It was a good question, in my opinion, yet those of us that have been following the situation already know the answer. I agree, there is enough crap around already.

Just kidding..I will donate also to them, but I agree that the diversionary tactics should stop and are just as grating as the bashing is.

I too think the TG/WE kids will be labelled at WV because of what they have heard from their parents. I doubt TG and WE kids will have any problems at WV if the school is built on Eola. My impression is that the WV feeder schools under the new boundaries aren't the ones doing the bashing. The bashing would really bug me also, but I think you guys are preaching to the choir. No one here is bashing TG and WE. I'd stop reading Potluck or wherever you keep hearing/reading it.

I really get a kick out of the Sun Blogs. Sometimes you find that one poster who really hits your funny bone!! For all those with an ax to grind about the NSFOC lawsuit - here's a thought to ponder.--So much for worthwile candidates.
By JAS on March 27, 2008 4:10 PM These blogs are interesting and I can see why it can be addicting. Even peoples sarcams makes me laugh.
Anyway, just to set the record straight with all those saying NSFOC is costing the taxpayers money. It hasn't cost the taxpayers a dime. You know why? Because the SB has not responded to the lawsuit.
However, Mark Metzger HAS COST THE TAXPAYERS: $5,000,000.00 BY SUING BB!!
Mark Metzger said they would win the case. I believe he got his head handed to him.
So I ask, why is it okay for Mark Metzger to file lawsuits, tie up peoples property for 2 years and now he is potentially COSTING THE TAXPAYERS ANOTHER: $20,000,000.00!!
Yet, your not saying anything about it? You don't think the school board should be held accountable?
Secondly, as far as the NSFOC saying the land is contaminated. Well, sorry wrong again! They are saying "IT MAYBE CONTAMINATED." They list out what could be wrong with the property. They want to know why did the school board choose this when they could have chosen BB (WHICH THEY PUSHED ON THE VOTERS), or any other property for that matter. Why chose a potential hazard? Walk away and chose another property.
Mark Metzger and the board costs us the taxpayers:5 MILLION DOLLARS ON HIS LAWSUIT!!
NSFOC cost the taxpayers: $0

Yes our family donated there instead of exchanging Christmas gifts this year. We decided that helping the little people is something that all elitist snobs should do. It makes you feel so morally superior to everyone, and takes away the occasional pangs of guilt over your big house and German cars and your laborador retriever Jake. <only the first sentence was serious, but some of this Joan of Arc stuff is getting a little tiresome....> Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry 556 W. 5th Ave. Naperville, IL 60563 (630) 355-3663 Located behind NNHS in the business park behind Wehrli Appl. All great places that do great and much needed work.

All great places that do great and much needed work. I have to say, I am really tired of the name-calling and now preaching by a certain person on this board who thinks they are the moral police. Just because we are against what the SB is doing does not make us snobs and it does not mean that we don't contribute to our communities. This person should quit telling everyone else how to think, feel and spend their time. It's really more sad than anything else because it demonstrates a lack of respect for other's viewpoints. Respect for others is a very important personal characteristic and I would recommend to this person that they spend some time cultivating it.
