I saw cops outside the door the entire time. Whatever. The name calling should stop, ok, we all agree. That has nothing to do with the fact that it is all old news. No revelations.

When the Brooks PTA president called people racist is when the d204 employee raced down the stairs to find the cop. It took a minute to get him hustled into the room, so maybe he wasn't standing there until JC spoke. You can believe whatever you want, but thems the facts.

I must have missed where she said she had any concern other than for her children and her area.
Looked like a bunch of "elitists" to me! Put the school in our backyard!!! Even though alot of us voted against the 3rd high school!

Shame on us for continuing to try to voice our concerns. They aren't listening. Guess we should have figured that out by now!

Random thought - does Dr. D have a bonus tied to a 2009 opening? I just can't for the life of me figure out what the rush is all about. Because we've been sardines in Scullen for years and no one cares. WV will be even worse off for 2 years after opening and no one cares. What is the major bug up the butt with trying to open a half finished school in 2009? Where's the fire?

I will be happy to eat a plate of Sushi Crow in front of MVHS if it opens in 2009. I believe the date was used to make Eola the only acceptable site in the last round of Lying My F'ing A$$ Off Site Selection Report. Ah, guess I am not really ready yet to start posting again

All due respect to the rev, but I call B*lls@%t! Very difficult decision???Supreme sacrifice! A supreme sacrifice would have been to sell the land for perhaps twice (maybe three times) the cost that you purchased it for 4 years ago. I have no problems with the decision (financial windfall to the Church, but that is the Church's right and I think this was a sound business decision (by the Church..not our District)). But please.....it is insulting to paint this as "being about equity and for the kids of 204". Let's be honest (one of those virtues you are supposed to live by). Perhaps the preaching could be better used to try to unite (rather than assist in the divide) of the entire 204 community. By the way reverand, I hear there may be some land available right next to the land you just sold (and pretty cheap). The peaker plant is even being removed for you. Guess we will see how safe you really think this land is... Hmmmm......sacrifice? I am confused since the congregation is ecstatic about the windfall. Not true.

My concern is not her kids. My concern is getting my kids OUT OF MV at EOLA.

Well, on the cost analysis arch posted on the other thread, there is 0 difference in cost opening Eola August 2009 vs. 2010.
I think they should just be realistic and, given the current environment, a little more conservative in their projections. I think we need to tone down the "guarantees." This district is starting to sound like an OXY-clean commercial.

Metea timeline Here's the Metea Valley High School construction timeline as outlined by Indian Prairie Unit District 204 officials on Tuesday: April 14-23: Mass grading redesign work May 7: Plan commission amended annexation approval June 13: Foundation work begins Aug. 14: Structural steel work begins Sept. 19: Pre-cast work begins January-August 2009: Furniture, fixtures and equipment procurement and installation Phase I April 15, 2009: Site work Phase II begins Aug. 19, 2009: Phase I construction work completed June 2009-February 2010: Phase II construction work completed September 2009-May 2010: Furniture, fixtures and equipment procurement and installation Phase II So were in this timeline is the actual opening of the school? I thought that would be clearly outlined, as in August 24, 2009: School Opens for start of 2009-2010 school year.
