You might feel differently if you have ever once thought about the community at large instead of your own p@..e..c cosmos READ THE ARCHIVES heh, don't criticize the concern of parents for the safety of the Eola site. That has always been Dr. Who's issue as has Arch's. I'll let him speak for himself but I commend him for not wanting a building that would jeopardize anyone's childs safety. quite frankly, I am sure he is done with the likes of you anyway. Just the opposite Dr who HATED THE BOUNDARIES, NOT THE SITE The land is safe, by American and most definitely by any African standards, or else the district would not be able to build |

Yes it will. After the lies - yes outright lies , and deception, I will not only be a No voter - but an active No voter. Congratulations to those who now have what they want and have always wanted- a shiny new school in their backyards. Maybe they can now shut the hell up about ' poor us' and all the entitled people in the district. The total screw job done to my area who supported this school board in now complete. For those SB members (sans one) reading this - thank you for your total dispregard for my area and it's children and parents. And congratulations to you for taking care of your own areas ! Start the purging next April- and complete it 2 years after that. Unfortunately it will be too late for most of us - we will have those taxes to pay for a school placed where 4 ES's will be totally served- what a great deal for everyone else. Unfortunately the joke is on people like me, however I am not laughing. People I trusted turned out to be anything but trustworthy. Fool me once...... My family and I will pay dearly for my misplaced trust - but starting today, I am done with 204. I won't have to deal with any more lying and deceit. I know my area is not wealthy enough to go to the 'New Waubonsie' ( thank you for that SB ) - nor not supposedly 'poor' enough to have someone build me a HS in my back yard. I know sure as Hell I do not live in the northern part of the district - yet am told I do on out of scale maps. Don't come knocking on my door for a freakin' penny...for anything, I give a d**n what it's for, the answer is No. For anyone looking for the real Dr Who, he is hiding in the archives, behind 1000's of posts that are PRO 3RD HIGH SCHOOL when it benifited him personally. Now, since it doesn't, it's the EVIL SB that was dastardly toward only him and his family. Then again, I am sure that the archives have been swept clean, just like Dubya's oval offal ice. P.S. Don't let the door.... Speaking as someone that has not always seen eye to eye with Doctorwho (and yes it is in the archives), many of us have changed our position on things and that is ok. My children are young and will not be affected by the high school situtation for many, many and if it does not suit our needs when the time comes then we can afford to go elsewhere (and don't start with the entitled crap either!). However, this does not mean I don't care that money is being mishandled by what some call our leaders. I am not understanding your point at all. Did you ever stop to think that some of the SB members who have lied and blatantly deceived have a history with Doctorwho which is why he is so pissed off. The truth shall set you free they always say. Although my favorite is what goes around comes around. And it is coming you best believe it. Not sure when, but it is coming for some. |

As I have always said that a win is also a loss on either end. If NSFOC wins the suit, they lose in how much of the community views the supporters. If the district wins, it is only short lived. A teacher said it best to me yesterday, "If district wins then I can kiss any salary improvements goodbye. No voters will not come out of the woodwork for any future referendums." I must say that I do agree with her. My hope is that those disappointed with today's outcome won't just give a blanket "no" to future referendums. Some,if not all, of the referendums that will come up with greatly impact our kids. Like SSM said, "with every win, there is a loss on the other end". I hope that everyone will keep an open mind when voting for these referendums and realize how our choices will affect the kids. If you choose to vote "no" on future referendums, that is your perogative. However, do it for the right reasons and not to spite the SB. They've not handled everything very well at times, but it's our kids who will be affected by any spitefulness at the voting booth. Unfortunately lori, many of us had kids whose plight was not considered at all. I understand totally what you are saying, however when your own children have been overlooked - and viewed as part of some re engineering of Waubonsie decision, I will not be supporting that cause. let me ask you this question one last time ( for old times sake) - did the people of Brookdale vote 80% No for the right reasons ? How did it work out for them ? I would expert areas that feel screwed by the location / commute/ site - switch to vote heaqvily like they did - when one feels like the screw job side of decisions are directed at your kids - ( like BD did, and I do now) - the answer for agreement on things will be no. |
