Considering all the discussion at boundary time about "Title 1" schools as if this label meant something about all the people who are in the attendance area, I thought this was interesting news and could help shake up some people's apparent preconceived notions. No matter where I live. I agree Momto4 and WVHSP, I believe your comment was to make people aware that being T1 is nothing to be ashamed of. During the boundary talks, IIRC, Brookdale was about 1 free lunch short of becoming T1. I also remember that Brooks wasn't too far behind in joining the T1 ranks. Perception needs to be changed in this district. T1 is about free lunch numbers. With the way the Mortgage companies are letting people go, expect that number to rise if it affects families in our area. Doesn't matter what school you attend in this district, it is about helping families in need....both financially and academically [ by getting extra help for the schools]. I believe you are right on the money here..... there were more than a few schools very close during the boundary discussions -- which is more in line with the number in 203 --
