Doesn't Scullen which is right down the street from her home have trailers to hold the overflow at that school? Yes, Yes and Yes.... Middle Schools are WAY to crowded in our district. Not just Scullen. Scullen has trailers. It's a pity that the overcrowding at the middle school level has gone on this long. IMO, the need for space at the middle school level is top priority and has been delayed and clouded by the delay to get the high school built on time.

Chicory Owl By transcribe are you putting words into someone's mouth? Please explain how copying down something verbatim is putting words into somebody's mouth? Are you suggesting I copied it down wrong? If not, I don't understand the logic. How can copying a FULL answer that somebody gave be putting words in their mouth? Wouldn't that be the exact opposite?

Chicory Owl By transcribe are you putting words into someone's mouth? Watch the video. And you type what she said. I understand now. I thought Chicory Owl was rewriting something from L2's site with his version of what she was saying. Thanks for the clarification. ETA: I thought you were interpreting your words into the statement from her site which was quoted in your response. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Thanks for proving L2 wrong. Hell must be freezing over Macy and I agree that L2 is wrong when Leanne Lyons said if in fact we are overcrowded

Hell must be freezing over Macy and I agree that L2 is wrong about the overcrowding of our schools. Bob We don't agree that L2 is wrong. We do agree that Scullen is crowded. I do no interpret her responses to indicate we don't have a space problem at the middle school level.

That means she doesn't believe we are overcrowded.

Macy then you should get L2 to clarify that she only knew 6 MS when MV opens. Bob I'm sure you can get L2 to clarify that (if she hasn't already done so). Since this thread was about boundary changes, I brought to light Alka's comment on her site because It wasn't clear to me. If a clarification was placed under her answer, it would have been much clearer to me when I read it. These people are under a tremendous amount of pressure. I'm willing to let a few missteps go if someone provides clear clarification. I don't expect anyone to be perfect. They are human beings after all. the web site did read 6 middle schools, and I haven't checked lately but unless they were removed, there were comments from readers of the site questioning that as well. I didn't so much mind the mistake of 6 vs 7 - as yes they all are human beings as well - but it was in the context using the word easy, as the solution should have just been to put 2 MS at each High school. Here is the section. Once boundaries are leveled by enrollment at the elementary level, they can be easily leveled by enrollment at the middle school level. Then, two middle schools could have been easily placed at each high school. The remaining (new) middle school could have been placed among two high schools.the entire last sentence is new -- this is what I mean by not altering what was originally written as it erases the time line of comments. I hear what you're saying about the Alka putting a reference right next to the original comment and likely that will happen....but again it doesn;t take away from what happened when. otherwise a comment like this one made 2/26 at 5:11 Pm when the site was still wrong, and still on her site, appears to make no sense since she 'corrected' the original statement> "You are suggesting that by evenly distributing the students in the elementary schools and the middles schools, the 6 middle schools could then have been easily assigned to a high school, not creating problems. What about the 7th middle school, created from Waubonsie Valley’s Gold campus? "

To be honest with you, I don't truly believe ANY candidates answer to whether or not they'd alter the high school boundaries. Most reponses are pretty fuzzy and those that say they wouldn't consider a change are concerning as well. None of the answers I've heard to date are not credible to me.
I am in agreement with candidates that have come out against the process in which the boundaries were drawn. With middle school boundary decisions in our near future, I hope the process is handled much differently. I'm paying attention to how they address that question.

I don't think you should have any concerns because TG Fry walks to Scullen.

I don't think you have any concerns because TG Fry walks to Scullen. It's not a personal concern for me as I won't have a child that's impacted. It is more of a concern of the manner in which decisions were made. That type of faulty process could impact other decisions the SB has to make.

Go to her site - it's just more of the empty, big words - she talks a lot, while not really saying anything concrete.

I don't think you should have any concerns because TG Fry walks to Scullen. I can't remember, was there ever a topic here on taking a crack at what some 7-MS boundary scenarios might look like?
