Motion to accept MS/HS boundaries with the 2 changes. as my parting gesture to 204, I believe I will have maps made up ( to scale ones) with May Watts highlighted on it -- because it seems our SB members and ADMIN have forgotten where the hell we are . Glad for Owen East -- once again our neighbors will be split from us. Good luck getting another vote - dime out of the Watts area - |

so to make a favorable MS split at scullen, turn Still into a 3 way? Before any changes, I recall Scullen aleady was near 50/50 WV/NV. The ashwood move into Scullen with its future growth brings more WV there. Seems pretty fair to me. Why swap WE and Welch at Scullen? Then the Peterson component going to NV is maybe 1/4 of the school? Is that fair to them? And then you turn Still into a three way split? So Fry and WE get a 75% favorable MS balance. While (GombertW +Owen E) then (Owen W+Gombert E) then Welch transition from MS to HS with about 1 ES equivalent worth of classmates. And its even worst for non-WV Peterson. I guess addressing splits for some is more important than addressing it for others.  ahhh, sounds like sanity perhaps prevails. |

Is anyone asking what happens to WV in 2009/10 with 4 grade levels, when 3 barely fit now? Or are they just planning on having 1/2 of the district move out after this debacle?

Dumb. not exactly the words i was thinking of, but making more decisions on the fly at the meeting is dumber. in the end they just wanted to feel good and once again give themselves a pat so they can vote tonight - and that was the only goal |

While we are waiting for updates, do middle schoolers wear spirit wear? I was thinking how glad I am I don't have a huge investment in it and was told that kids in ms do not really wear it like they do in ES. Any thoughts? you bet we4! In fact, Gotta a picture from the 8th gr trip to Wash DC this past weekend. 204 MS spirit wear from all the schools was being widely sported in our nations capital! |

And we know one person from LW already making the decision not to go because of safety concerns..... what a return on $150M |
