Well, as long as there's no Walmart nearby...

the Walmart thing was no joke... seriously.
Are we still sure it's not a reality?
How about Al... the poster that has connections with Costco. If Costco had such terms in their contract wouldn't he be able to verify? Al? Al? Please let us know.
I heard this from a couple of independant sources.
I heard it was real possibility. No joke, rumor, seriously. I realize you all think I'm rumor spreading, but NO seriously. I heard it and heard it "again".
Oh, c'mon... don't make me bring back the Walmart logo again. That little smiley guy scares me almost as much as Daeschner does.

RE: Walmart being Real or not
It's been established that their heavy shopping times are not when kids are driving to/from school. Anyone is more than welcome to post any evidence to the contrary.
That puts the 'traffic' in the same category as any other traffic a kid would normally encounter while driving to/from school.

I was just being flip... sorry guys!
If we don't build at BB, it's a non-issue. And, from what Ive heard the school is going to be much farther north so the Walmart factor is a non issue.
ETA: the fact that the school might be far north will be a major issue.
ETA2: good lord, help us!
ETA3: there is a major storm brewing.
ETA4: run for your lives!

Please let us know. no WalMart, aside from the existing contract provision, think about it, it took Costco five years to get through negotiations with BB on the site, and had to concede to huge demands landscape-wise etc, to make it hapen. BB is not any easier to deal with for commercial real estate than it was for the SB. Two hurdles for WalMart and no Naperville support (which was crucial for the Costco deal), since it on the Aurora side of 59. No WalMart.

What has been the "Aurora" support on the BB site? I would think the city would be an important backer. Are there any indications that city hall got behind us on this? They will ultimately have approval for anything built there. Did they play any role?

Yup, heard that rumor. That's what all the drama was about in my post.
I don't think it's a great location for the district.
Just my opinion.

OK this topic is so far off track, and that the tests are found, has become a non-issue, therefore this thread is closed. Feel free to open a new thread to continue .
