Our district spent SQUAT on the boundaries and transportation as evidenced by the fact that there is no document that can be FOIA'd on the transportation costs for 2009/10 let alone an analysis of what was best. If they spent so much time where is the work ? On a sheet of loose leaf paper hand written in pencil - that the one page that was there . I'm surprised it wasn't in crayon. This is B.S.- sorry. And the boundaries were basically set 2 years ago with Option 6 - and the northern site map that has appeared from 2006 -- sans Owen West they are exact - so spare me this nonsense CP ! What happened to all the work that was going to be done on ES boundaries and this was the last chance to do that - they did almost zero except screw over a few small areas north and send kindergarten thru 5th kids from Rt 59 and North Aurora ave to May Watts -- that' the best this admin can do ? Really ?
And grandfathering is not on the table because the admin are just sticking it to people as usual- no concern for families or equal opportunities for kids--open MV as is - no matter what - it is the ONLY important thing in 204 for this group.
So yeah, people are hearing things- it's called the truth for once.
You are absolutely correct, doctorwho. In fact, I saw the FOIAd information and it is exactly as you describe - a piece of looseleaf paper with hand-written scribbles showing what school goes where. Seriously everyone! This is what they have on boundaries and transportation. A corportation the size of District 204 (and IMO that's how we should be looking at our SD) and this is the best we can get? Don't worry our trusty transportation company promised us that transportation costs will NOT go up
.I honestly wish that the FOIAd information on "transportation" could be made public as I think many people would cry to think that this is what is leading our District. Help us all.
