The same could be said for the SB's past recommendations and 180 turnarounds. Absolutely. Didn't we learn our lesson about trying to be 'fiscally responsible' by building the Freshman Centers? In retrospect, it would have been more fiscally responsible to build the 3rd HS back then. Let's not make the same mistake again. The freshmen centers were a bandaid to fix a wound that in hindsight needed stiches. However, those buildings are still functional and useful. A building will never go to waste and is not a waste of money. What the freshmen centers should have taught us is that it is very difficult for anyone to predict future enrollment. What history does show us is that the errors have been made on the light side -- we have more students moving in than the prognosticators imagined -- not less. Seems like a good argument for a third high school.
