One improvement would be if we had no Board of Education members that referred to a parent having a difficulty within the school system as a Mother F**k*r in an email to other Board of Education Members and the District Superintendent.
There is no place for that on our school board whatsoever. Allowing the person who did this to remain on the Board of Education is condoning the behavior as 'acceptable'.
For the person to choose to remain on the Board of Education in any capacity, they are saying their behavior is acceptable.
This action was not only a clear violation of the Acceptable Use policy of District 204's computational facilities but also a complete disregard to any respect for the parent and customer of District 204.
This behavior is also a clear violation of the District Mission statement which states:
"The mission of Indian Prairie Community Unit School District 204 is to develop the full potential of each student's intellectual, ethical, physical, creative, cultural, social and technological capabilities. This will be accomplished by providing equitable quality instruction and developing positive relationships with young people. We are dedicated to maximizing the professional skills and human potential of every staff member, because we recognize that an exemplary staff, working as partners with parents, is the key to developing well-educated, responsible citizens."
This was not exemplary behavior. Hold true to the Mission Statement.

I agree, Arch. That would be an instant improvement. Can and will it ever happen? We have the Sun calling out for MM's resignation through a long editorial, we have JHB denouncing our SB and the way the meetings are handled, and we have over 700 petition signatures asking for MM's resignation. Is this enough pressure for our SB to do something and strongly encourage MM for the good of the District to resign? I'd hope so. If MM truly cares about the District that he has worked for for so long, he'll do the right thing and resign.
Please Mark. Many of us are counting on you to do the right thing. Mark, ask yourself if this were CV or another SB member wouldn't you be demanding their resignation?
