Did he say why? He might have a previous appointment. Even if he did, it's 7PM on a Monday night. If you can't make time for something as important as this, you're saying a lot about how important it is to you.

At one point he stated "If you are unhappy, you have 4 challengers here. Pick three." I was shocked by the comment. Not exactly a strong close for someone who wants to be a SB member. In his mind, are all 4 challengers interchangeable? IMO, he's not serious about serving, but rather in tearing down the incumbants.

“There are a lot of individuals encouraging us to put it in the paper,” Lehman said. He would not say who, but said some are running for school board. Just noticed this on Michell Davis' website (answer to question 6 on www.movingdistrict204ward.com/HearldQ&A.htm):To satisfy my curiosity about Macom’s offer, I contacted them. To my surprise, well-developed site plans and reports were presented. Rumors and misconceptions were addressed, leaving me hopeful that if we need a plan-b, it might qualify. hmm...

This reminded me that I hadn't visited any of the candidates' websites in several days. Upon checking in on KK's page I found he has added a whole section about the new high school and also includes a link to Macom's plan without anything saying it would be a bad idea. www.kevinjknight.com/metea.htmlWhat was the actual building cost for Oswego East, when was it built, and how many students was it built for? I'm curious if it is at all comparable.

I am curious who will come clean; I am re-watching the second candidate forum now and noted that KK stated that he was "surprised to see an ad in the newspapers for an alternative site for the high school" If later it is determined that he was one of the board members Lehman referred to, he certainly mislead voters at the forum...he acted as though he was surprised! Also something to consider. MD is a realtor and most likely has a relationship with the builders/developer of the Ashwood park development. Has she been asked outright if she has had contact with Macom regarding her run for school board? Have they funded her campaign in any way? These are questions that voters have a right to know and they can vote accordingly based on which candidates they trust and who represent the values they see for the district.
