But how are they coming up with the money? That's a LOT of creative financing that must be done to come up with that kind of money.
BB isn't the end-all-be-all and other options should be explored. Time to think out of the box - build a smaller HS geared to the arts? Explore options with Frontier campus? Additions? Who knows what the answer is but I think it's very narrow-minded and wrong to just ASSume that BB at any cost is the only answer.

So if they are discussing possible offers for land, you all want to know about it. I am not talking final amount but possible. The SB should be taking and receiving offers behind close doors especially since some land owners will not want their price displayed. I believe they'll be discussing how to continue to ram BB down our throats. I think they will be discussing the best way to spend our money on a high school that is needed. So lacy, we disagree, again.

What they owe to the taxpayers and parents now is to completely show all of their cards. The BB trial is now over, so they must show us all of the options on the table. Doing so any earlier could have jeopardized future negotiations. Whatever decision they make, they need to show us their thought process and alternatives and why the alternatives were not ultimately selected if that is the case. In addition, time is of the essence if we want to help the children of this district.

But if they can, I'm okay with it. For me, I've been through the alternates analysis. We need a HS like planned with MV, whether it be on BB or somewhere else (and I think BB is most preferable).

We asked them to spend the $124.6 million ref money to deliver a HS in the needed timeframe at a good long-term location. As I figure right now (until proven otherwise) BB has best chance to accomplish this.

I have a call into the DuPage State's Attorney's Office to see if they will be in violation of the open meetings act. FYI-Response from State's Attorney Office. They are not in violation of Open Meetings Act.
