Have 2nd best site total cost factored out and look at the dollar difference (All costs involved). Figure that dollar difference down to a per acre cost and tell BB to match it or goodbye and go with site 2 immediately. Why this even has to go back through the courts I don't know.

I am so shocked that the lemmings have attacked. You don't like me calling u lemmings but its ok to call my comments juvenile. I apologize to casey because casey is not in that group as many of her posts have looked at both sides (only to see her attacked). the bulk of the people on this site only want to speak with like-minded people who can reassure them that their vote for the referendum, their vote for the board, and their belief in the sb are all justified and smart. you feel that any crack in that would be a negative reflection on yourselves. a previous post said that he would fire "the people who work for him" if they would show their hand while negotiating but I didn't see that same sentiment about firing people who under-estimated the final land price by more than double. Until you understand that this thing is a complete mess that needs to be looked at from the beginning again, u will just continue posts with each other talking about how much insight u have. Their is a saying that execution supercedes intention. clearly the sb doesn't believe in this. Ok lemmings, attack!!!!!

the lemming comment was juvenille - and if you can follow the timeline - the lemming comment precipitated the response. You want someone to respect your comments when you approach things like this ?

If you looking for people to apoligize for how they've voted, you're probably in the wrong place.

It's very easy with the 20/20 hindsight to poke holes in things. You got anything constructive to add?

If BB wants to sell the property to a "big box" entity, they have to rezone the property....

hmmmm, how painful could that process be if the residents surrounding the property were opposed to a Super Walmart or something going in there??

Wouldn't be the first time a project was dragged out indefinitely because of a small band of very vocal citizens. I'm thinking Meijers in a neighboring community???

Those citizens have an uphill battle against a city that's going to want to gain whatever tax revenue it can to make up for a lot of budgetary problems going on all over the place.

I hate to drag this away from the lemmings banter, but what happens if the district prevails at a new trial and gets a number of $257,000/acre. Wouldn't BB be able to appeal? I realize our legal system isn't always about justice, but I would think they would have an opportunity to appeal and that would drag things out further.

I'm just curious....and I'll admit surprised, I didn't think the SB would abandon BB.
