Give it up, Blankcheck, Arch will never recognize how wrong this whole thing is. Arch is the one giving the SB the blank check! That's definitely NOT the way I do business. I said a few posts up that it's a mess. I'll cut/paste it for you: "Posted by archwinsome on Today at 4:25pm blankcheck, yes.. it's a mess right now. That's a given." There ya go. Let me know what else was missed, and I'll cut/paste it again. Edit: Had to switch my daylight savings time setting off and correct the 'hour' above.

You're upset that I don't join in with the childish mudslinging thereby giving those doing it an endorsement that it's OK to do? I think it's rather juvenile behavior. Like it or not, they are the SB. I'd rather work WITH them than try to paralyze a school system by working AGAINST them. One attracts more flies with honey than with vinegar. We are just venting arch. Actually at this point they should just tune eveyone out and get it done. Let the chips fall where they may. If people are still pi$$ed at op ref time, cut extracurriculars. Vote in new board members. See what happens then. eta - ok can I get in just one more dig? We are mudslinging because we are trying to climb out of the ditch but keep slipping back. It's not intentional. Ok I'll stop. okay, now sing along: ( sorry I couldn't resist ) www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radio/B000002BDG/ref=pd_krex_dp_001_003/102-3779912-0051313?ie=UTF8&track=003&disc=001Title: Diffie Joe - Down in a Ditch lyrics Artist: Diffie Joe Visitors: 10 visitors have hited Down in a Ditch Lyrics since Feb 12, 2007. Print: Diffie Joe - Down in a Ditch Lyrics print version Chorus: I'm runnin' this shovel way down in a ditch When you're down in a ditch it's a son of a gun Any fool knows you'll never get rich When you're down in a ditch in the Tennesee sun All I got to show is blisters and sweat Blisters and sweat and minimum pay I'm just tryin' to get out of debt And buddy I bet you, I make it someday Well I wich that I was the man with the clipboard Sittin' in the shade with an RC cola Makin' calls on the cellular phone And yellin' down at me to keep my butt movin' (Chorus) Someday you'll see me workin' that clipboard Sittin' in the cab of a cool Silverado Tuned in to a country station Rollin' down the window just to holler out orders To the fool with the shovel way down in a ditch When you're down in a ditch it's a son of a gun Everybody knows you never get rich Working down in a ditch in the Tennessee sun (Chorus)

Give me a break - how many more excuses do you have for them? How many times can you complain and do nothing about it?

Q. Do you have any idea what you've spent so far on the legal process? Metzger: I haven't asked (Dave Holm, assistant superintendent for business) but I'd be surprised if our costs are over $1 million. You can not tell me that he has no idea what they have spent so far. Attorneys send bills - billable hours. As the president, he should know where every $ is being spent including attorney fees. If one added up all the time it takes to complain about the SB, one would have had 2 or 3 serious conversations with David Holm about this issues one complains about.

Bob, that involves work. It's easier to sit behind a keyboard and crab.

Casey, they were freely elected by the citizens of the SD. They can do what they want when they want. It is the American way. Just because you think it is wrong doesn't make it so. BTW the next time you make a multi-million dollar deal, PM me. I want to play Monday Morning quaterback.

The SB could have just paid BB and people would have complained. The decided to try and save some money by looking at cheaper sites and the same people complain about it. They will choose a site and the same will complain again. The SB can't win.
Why the need to rush at this point? We can't break ground until spring.

Why the need to rush at this point? We can't break ground until spring. bob, there are somewhere close to 3500 to 4000 students who will be starting HS in 2008 and 2009. Many don't know where they are going to school, with who, and if that is the school that they will graduate from. They may not be able to break ground until spring but these kids deserve some answers. I also understand, they may not get them for a while. Doesn't make it any easier or any less frustrating.

Can someone explain why people are claiming that we don't know the sites? There are only 5 possible sites AME, BB/CAV, Macom,Bolingbrook, Wagner Farms The first four are the most possible sites Wagner Farms is what I call a darkhorse. Maybe the family wants out? bob - you are right about this. I was looking at the map at those 111th sites that are W of the RR Trax... they should not even be a consideration because every student at MV would have to cross those trax to get to school. And there are high voltage power lines runnning N/S through both sites.

That sounds like an excellent plan... To really drive the point home we need about 2000 kids with signs......

Maybe with the lesser cost the school can include dormitories

Maybe with the lesser cost the school can include dormitories Sorry doc.... I do respect your point of view; But enough with the travel bit already. I get you do not like a north site as you feel you would have to travel enormous distances to go to school. At this point I think that is also very premature, as no site has been chosen, and IF a Northern site IS the chosen one, there is no certainty that your area would be sent there. Gatordog's previous figuring is a good example of that, which has your area still going to WVHS...Is that not good enough for you now? If it ends up being north, and you want to cut your commute down, I may have a house for you.....mine.......as at the rate everything is going I may not be able to afford it any longer....I'll make you a good deal on it.......
