Spending an extra 20 million on a school with a quarter of a billion dollar budget.... Big Deal, that is a drop in the bucket in these parts. They "had" to move the school site for a proposed savings of $2M

Doc and Arch, You guys are getting all worked up before the election, how many 204 voting taxpayers really care one way or the other. Do you really think many voters even bother to look at their tax escrow account (or bill) and notice tax rates increases / decreases in their tax bill. For many it is but a brief glance at most. The simple fact is most homeowners are too busy, too lazy, or too ignorant to care. Face it this district is the "land of milk and honey", the school district can spend like "drunken sailors" because many of the residents of the district do the very same thing. Spending an extra 20 million on a school with a quarter of a billion dollar budget.... Big Deal, that is a drop in the bucket in these parts. Worked up? Really? You did see that incomes are down $10K on average in our area, did you not? I don't think your land of milk and honey notion is going to last too much longer. Don't worry though, the PTA will do its work yet again and I predict they'll slide LP right into the seat. What remains to be seen is what bullshit they'll toss around about her non-incumbant opponent.

Spending an extra 20 million on a school with a quarter of a billion dollar budget.... Big Deal, that is a drop in the bucket in these parts. ---not so fast-- the times they are a changing SSSM -- new numbers show income dropped $11,000 in last decade for DuPage County -- Naperville median income down almost $20K - People have lost significant money in their homes and I'll give you a real estate site that will show you homes in one of the 3 phases of foreclosure in this area... it will scare the crap out of you. Check with local food banks etc.-- need far outstripping supply-- so while we may be better off than many areas- reality has come crashing thru the open window here also- and those drunken sailors still on the SB need to be gone-- along with a few whose financial backgrounds are zip and will ' follow the leader' on anything. Now I do admit you have got to bring the story to them- most will not seek it out- either through apathy or woe is me attitudes. However, when presented with easy to decipher scenarios- and true cost to them over a period of time... as well as hammering home the attendance EXACTLY as we and some others showed it was going to be... forget wasting $20M- they have wasted $155M- and put us all on the hook for another $3M-$6M per year in incremental costs that also were unnecessary. candidates- especially incumbent will not be able to duck these questions and presentations before the election...they will have to answer to them all-- and it appears as though at least one paper might actually report something other thanwhat they are handed... calling out our Super on the $2.7M vs $5.9M misleading comments..

So now we name a building after him and be done with it. I heard the storage building behind Metea is still just called "the shed". That would be perfect.
