I hope everyone had their kids out 5 minutes early - per the Super's phone call - in negative windchills so they could stand out in the cold for their 'later than normal time' late bus.

With the inclement weather staying with us for another week it might be best if parents got a phone tree (text tree, email tree) going, taking turns keeping the little ones warm before the bus arrives. With corners "snowed in" this might also be the safest bet. The supersized SUVs may finally fulfill a purpose as these units can hold a small army of children. It would be best if the SUV in use be the type with leather seats (butt warmers a must) and TVs in the head rest as it is imperative that the little ones not get bored or be chilled.
This will help if "God forbid" the bus arrives a couple of minutes late.

Parents need to make sure they send their kids out in something more than a 'hoodie'. Hats, gloves and something to cut the wind should be a must...
