To me, it sounds like Tim is saying he buys the bullshit anyone hands him in a questionnaire or interview. After all, as he says, he doesn't have a lot of time to waste. after all- who is busier than a news columnist. Of course for years he didn't even know 204 existed- it was all 203 all the time -- obviously it still is

I totally agree with Brant. Mark Rising is the best candidate choice. I also do not buy that just because someone has an MBA that makes them a business person. With Dave Holm retiring, we darn well better have someone on the board that is willing to question numbers, not just be a district cheerleader.

Another area of disappointment is how few people chose to put their name in the ring for SB. Maybe people are just worn out from all of the shenanigans of the last five years. I think a lot of really good talented people have given up trying to change things considering who is on the board. I know of one individual who would have been an outstanding SB member but didn't want to be the only voice of reason and sense and be voted down 6-1 all of the time. Too bad. The actions of the SD has really worn out and chased away many people.

The actions of the SD has really worn out and chased away many people. one need look no further than Jerry Huang from my area- his qualifications are more than the board totals - yet the PTSA goon squad managed to keep him out. Most people are 'done' and more would be gone if not for the inability to sell their homes. And after another referendum ( or two) - even if the economy turns around- the back loaded debt restructure will also kick in- good luck to any of us here then. And for what results ? a fair number of people who used to post here ( and still drop by for a visit now and then) - moved to 203 already. Hiugher scores, and a SB that instead of building a 3rd HS- or dick around with boundaries where people have lived for 20 years- added on to the existing school- and will come in under budget - under the referendum budget- not some super secret budget)- and ahead of schedule. What a concept.
