Just got this via enews and completed the survey: As part of an ongoing improvement process, Chartwells and District 204 are committed to monitoring the quality of the food service and products provided for the school lunch program. We would appreciate your feedback on our performance. The information you provide will help us strengthen our food service and prioritize improvement efforts to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
Regardless if your child(ren) participate in the School Meal Program, please complete the below surveys that correspond to your child(ren)’s level of enrollment. For example, if you have children enrolled at the elementary and high school levels, please complete BOTH the elementary school and high school surveys. Elementary School Survey Middle School Survey High School Survey This survey will run through Friday, April 22, 2011. If you have any questions regarding this survey, please contact Karla Zozulia in the Department of Support Services at karla_zozulia@ipsd.org. From what I hear via my kids, spouse, and neighbors, the school lunches are now horrible since they changed providers and went to the national program. I don't think my kids have bought lunch 3 times this year. Is that what others experience is? If it's true, I hope they learn something from the parent feedback and do something. Looks like Karla Zozulia is in charge of this one.

It used to be crap and now it's even crapier crap.
Everyone in administration and staff should have to eat it every day. Then and only then would it improve.
I'm sure it was spun for a vote as a way we can make money (kind of like how more bussing and all day kindergarten was).

Another one for the Big Z. But that is fine with us. Both of my WV kids are overweight.

Agreed. The food is horrible. None of my kids will eat it. It's definitely worse this year than ever. Hey but they have a nice building that they work out of - expensive real estate at 103rd and Rte. 59.

Interesting but when I filled out my survey it asked what high school my kids are at and what grade level. For some reason, I could not enter both high schools. Gee, there wasn't a way to click both Waubonsie and Neuqua. Maybe the Big Z (by the way, love the nickname) can explain that.
Could it be that whoever created the survey was smart enough to realize that siblings should be at the same high school? I mean whoever is dumb enough to split siblings?

I filled out this survey as soon as I got the email. My suggestion was for whoever is in charge of picking our food provider, try the food first. My 8th grader has not bought lunch once this year (she says it looks gross), my 7th grader will buy on breakfast bar days (maybe once or twice a month) and my elementary kids will buy on breakfast lunch days (maybe every other week...maybe). All the kids say the food tastes bad and yes 3 of them have tried a few things in the beginning of the year.
