Not sure how much AME needs to get their church built, but no lose situation for them. I am certain that we will have to pay damages (sizeable) if we vacate the AME deal. Thanks SB! We were told that there were contingencies built into the contracts in case anything came back with the testing. I certainly hope that is true. People walk away from deals with willing sellers all of the time. Eminent domain - taking away an owner's right to their property - is another story.

Is there not anyone in this district that can stop throwing sand from across the lines and step over them and say "Look, I'm sorry for the crap in the past that we put your estates through. We as a district are sorry. Can we please work this all out so we are all happy?" Didn't we try and step over that line and ask BB to buy a smaller portion of the land? Then BB threw sand in our face too and said "all or nothing". I agree it would be nice for everyone to sit down again and see if something could be done. It does seem one side is willing to deal. Maybe the SB and the one BB side could get the other BB side to see reason?

HEY still no mention of the 25 acres. Wonder what the status is on that. Remember, according to the financial analysis we can't afford to build the HS at AME without the proceeds from that property.
If BB can tie up that land for any length of time OR if the damages paid to BB is above expectations the financial analysis unravels. And remember we can "never ever ever" spend op funds on the school. Why not? Um, well, because they kinda agreed amongst themselves not to.

Maybe the SB and the one BB side could get the other BB side to see reason? Look at it from the estate's point of view. They are getting their info from their attorney. He was right about the valuation. He may be advising them that they have an excellent chance of forcing the district to buy the property at $31 mil. OR an excellent chance at forcing the district to pay significant damages. So they could be looking at $10 million just for their trouble. And they keep the property.

Thanks SB! yep - they need to be compensated- they didn't force us to sign anything. We've got that pen ready at all times - and unless common sense takes over- it will be in action again Wednesday

Chris Vickers seems to be the lone voice of reason anymore. Didn't like her a couple of years ago. Now finding myself liking her. Scary. It would be funny if she could stop the SB train from destructing. They still don't seem to be listening to her though.
