Yes, it is very similar to starting an unwinnable war and leaving office to let someone else clean up after your mess. Wait webe - isn't that a movie; or is it just a living nightmare? Very much a living nightmare. I figured we could get even more heated discussions going if I pulled politics in. Tomorrow when I get home from easter mass I will try for a religious battle

The problem with unwinnable wars is that people tend to have the wrong objective which 'creates' the war in the first place.
Building a highschool on the safest parcel in the district should not be a war. It should be an objective process that works towards a conclusion. Then, we buy it and build it.
Someone should do the math on what the premium price difference it between the two places and factor that cost over the entire district tax base, percentage of district budget it is and figure out your one-time share of it.
Anyone done this little math exercise yet?

BB is the safer parcel of land because both sites had farming going on but BB is minus RR tracks, transit pipelines and the number of HV power lines and also was minus one 33 year gross polluting neighbor. It's premium price was known and it was said to be worth it above all other parcels for those and other reasons.

This was posted on the Sun Blog regarding damages. From what I have been told Dr. D talks out of both sides of his mouth----
This is what Dr. D said to me and I'm paraphrasing. He's not an attorny and he wouldn't be surprised by anything. He's hoping that damages will be nothing but he wouldn't be surprised if there are damages. Regardless there will be a 3rd school built in the district. IPSD needs it, it was voted upon, and it will be built.

After today's confirmation that the rogue SB is going to ignore public interest and state regulatory agencies by plowing ahead in a backa**ward fashion at the Eola site, I realize why they have stored up this 91 million in reserves.
They are bound and determined to go against everybody to get what they want and they believe they needed a full set of ammunition to make it happen.
Picture the scene in one of the terminator movies when Arnold finds the hidden cache of machine guns and ammo and load up before the big battle. I believe he used up every bullet before miraculously defeating the enemy in the final scene.
Well even with this obscene excess, our SB may still not have enough ammo, even though I am sure they will blow the entire 91 mm trying to prove their point and get their way.
