But I thought they weren't negotiating with Macom. At least that is what I keep hearing. Key word is "were NOT" as in past tense. I don't think they were negotiating. Of course, they did the obligatory and cursory research so they could tell us they explored thoroughly all options. IMO, they're now negotiating (present tense) with Macom. I can't help but think that they somewhat were forced into it. The public (or at least this little segment of the public) is now aware of the terms of the Macom deal. The information is now out there and I'm sure that it will be spread on! Power to the people - tee hee ;D. I agree with Eagle Dad, I think the SB got a little more information than they were hoping for. The meeting had to be called 48 hours in advance. This nugget did not appear on this board until yesterday, the leak was a day late to impact whether there was a meeting or not, but hey, believe what you want. Sometimes a deal comes in that changes everything.... Absolutely. I agree with you on that.

I am laughing so hard I spit my Diet Coke all over it.

Because your deal for the north site might have just gotten derailed now that the terms for Macom are more favorable. IMO this whole mess is again attributed to the SB for not coming public with information about the sites. Yes much of it should be confidential to protect the deal but what's wrong with the public knowing what sites that they're looking at? followed by Let me get this straight The SB never cared about Macom The SB had a secret meeting on Friday with a north site to finalize the terms Casey and Daisy appears last night and spills Macoms deal. And today the SB has entered negotiations because of the public outpouring support to Macom

Bob, I'm just curious - you said Macom would be your preference unless we could get BB. Is BB still the SB's number one goal? Is this the site they're "still waiting on" (we've been waiting forever it seems). What's the real deal here - are they still holding out hope of negotiating with BB? Could this be why they won't negotiate with a serious seller? Is the north site a rumor meant to stir emotion? Are still holding on to BB and discounting something else that would work? If this is the case, I have had enough. Move on and buy an available piece of land. I don't think they are waiting on BB.

Hey, Is there a meeting tonight? What happened to that? I know it was never posted on the board meeting schedule but, thought we'd hear something in the press as to why it wasn't going to happen. I can drive - should I pick you up?

Let me get this straight The SB never cared about Macom The SB had a secret meeting on Friday with a north site to finalize the terms Casey and Daisy appears last night and spills Macoms deal. And today the SB has entered negotiations because of the public outpouring support to Macom You know what, Bob? That's an absolute joke and you know it. I knew the meeting was canceled as of LAST Friday and IMO that followed the meeting that the SB members had with Senator Holmes and the Mayor of Aurora at 4:00 on FRIDAY. According to the SB there never was a special meeting planned so it never had to be canceled. Convenient. Also, you forget one thing, I didn't spill the deal last night, Daisy did (I didn't even read it or respond until today). I of course had nothing to do with any public outpouring of support to Macom. If I had to guess I bet Macom got a tongue-lashing from our legal eagles lambasting them for spilling the beans And yes, the SB never cared about Macom but they are now being forced to care about Macom. Better clean up that whine. ;D

Well Casey, you better be sure because you just accused the Mayor, a State Senator and the SB of particpating in a illegal meeting. NO Bob, I didn't. From all of what I'm hearing there was a meeting scheduled for last Friday with the Mayor of Aurora, Senator Holmes, and some of the SB members (not sure if it was all of them but most likely not or it would be illegal). Why would a meeting with the Senator, Mayor, and property owners be illegal? Isn't there a rule about how many members can be at something without it being an official meeting? Sorry, I'm not up on my legal open-meetings information.

I'd just like to interject here & restate that the only way I'd be accepting of going with Macom would be if the $ advantage (compared to any other site) is HUGE. To me, Lehman's got multi-family land that he thinks he can't build on, and expensive single-family homes that might not be going like hotcakes (and he's partly blaming on Ashwood feeding into WV). If we build MV on Macom, WE'D be the one doing the favor, not vice versa.
A swap of the BB 25 seems equitable. That's it, no additional $. I'm serious - Macom must be pretty desparate for this thing to go public one again. If the SB has another property on the table, they are the ones holding the cards.
OK - that's it, no more Macom discussion for me. Back to your regularly scheduled discussion...

Your quote
Now you are down to most? even most is illegal and a majority.
You story has been changing so much I am confused. Can you give me a timline on how things went down?
I am looking for when the when the SB decided to finally negotiate with Macom, the secret meeting and who was there, the unveiling of Macom's deal, when the public upswell happened
all I have is a meeting on Friday 4pm with the Mayor and Holmes with an SB members that have ranged from all to most to some
