You can call BS on the number. Since a lot seems to have been stuck in the operational budget, we might never know. The feeling of waste is a wide spread perception. A perception I think that will compromise the board in the future until the next set of elections.

This leads off to the independent advisory committee idea. I have no problem with it, but I would guess that was what a group of elected volunteers was supposed to be.

I think we need to look to the next set of elections and get some new people into the school board roles. There are a lot of good things to say about this district and what has happened over the years. This current situation I believe has brought an end to the board's ability to lead the district. I have a hard time believing if a person is for or against or indifferent about the new school situation people still believe this group has enough legitimacy to lead going forward.

Either by their own deeds or just innocent victims to a tough process the current state of affairs needs to be changed. And just like a company that needs a turn around or a school that needs a turn around (New WVHS) I think its time for the New School Board. Then I think we can start some healing.

The feeling of waste is a wide spread perception.

So how about the perception that Ashwood did everything like spend $20k to kill QT? Ashwood doesn't spend the money to kill QT we get BB, don't spend $5 million on their legal bills and would have broken ground last summer probably spending the same amount of money or even less than the AME site.

Or not voting for the referendum the first time? The school would have opened this fall.


Or if Macom would have started closer to $212k in fall of 06, Macom probably would have been picked.

I have never seen a break out for our side of the legal fight, have you seen a number for Whitt Law, Bob? That makes me believe it is in the operational budget. When MM was asked the question of our legal fees, he said he had no idea.

In September they estimated BB legal fees $4M, now lately it's $5M and now there's a "$5M plus whatever else".

It's easy enough for the SB to dispel rumors, it's called releasing facts.

The SB/Admin can't give answers if NO ONE ASKS QUESTIONS to them.

How can we purchase the AME land up north without knowing what the BB damages will be? How can the SB accurately budget the referendum money without that figure?

It's cool no harm no foul. I just spent the last 15 minutes searching for the article I thought for sure said the board was using operational funds for the BB legal effort. I did not find it.. So, I am always willing to stand corrected or a liar either or whatever none abusive name fits
