"District officials, who said the school board is expected to vote on similar items Monday, provided a glimpse at Metea's campus layout. As planned, there would be 950 student parking spaces near a north entrance, attorney Rick Petesch said, noting the district and church are in talks about overflow parking on school days.
Alderman Lynda Elmore said the city would act to restrict parking in the Cambridge Chase subdivision if students began to park there."
This is a new one. Great spend $150m and cant get enough parking. What a plan! Kick another $25k in the AME annual coffer.

How many student parking spaces are there at WVHS and NVHS? I know the WVHS students use Our Lady of Mercy Church parking, which they have to pay for themselves. I think the same is true with Frontier Park where the students pay the Naperville Park Dist. Will Probably be just the same with AME. No money from the SD for it.

We are starting from scratch here people. You can do almost anything. Duplicating historical mistakes on something like this indicates no plan. Make the lot big enough and give those fees ($125+ a crack) to the Booster Club instead of someone else. On another note, so now you will have 1000 more cars and buses hitting that intersection at the same time. Beautiful.

Its ridiculous to start finding solutions for problems before the first shovel of dirt is moved. We are talking $150m, give me a break. Fix it now.

Let's see, a 3000 seat HS - just using straight math, 750 Sr's + up to 200 Jr's
950 spaces seems like enough. Or should we have them make it 1500 for all Jr's and Sr's?

Ask the SB - they are the ones claiming there is a problem, and have all the answers. Dont ask us taxpayers, we dont know a stinking thing.

For once the SD is planning ahead, and you're complaining. to me 950 is enough

For once the SD is planning ahead, and you're complaining. to me 950 is enough Given that not every JR & SR will drive and assuming many will [hopefully] carpool, this ought to be enough, I agree

For once the SD is planning ahead, and you're complaining. to me 950 is enough Face it, for some posters, every single thing than can be attacked related to Metea will be ferociously attacked.

I tried to find number of spaces at WV and NV. Couldn't find NV online. WV has 500 spaces for seniors only. This is almost double that for similar class size.

This is almost double that for similar class size. but we don't want to duplicate the parking issues WVHS has at MVHS do we ? using alternate lots - paying for them, cars in the neighbohoods and complaints about that -- again - since we can plan ahead - shouldn't we address previous issues ?

I hardly see saying the parking issues at WVHS should not be repeated as a ferocious attack - it shold be addressed no matter where the school is placed. Don't worry, you are likely getting your neighborhood school. -- geez.

How about we get CN to agree build us a light rail system between MV and the sub divisions. They might do it. They seem to be offering anything they can to get the approval to buy EJ tracks
