I posted the original thread because I think it is absolute insanity($150m worth) that we cant plan for adequate parking without having to get local alderman involved b4 we turn over the 1st shovel full. Local businesses, Cambridge will all be complaining. Instead of paying AME, give the $$ to the Booster Club. The critics forget - the SB brought it up, not this discussion board.
oh it HAD to be us, because we are negative about everything - or so I read.
I only wish I'd have questiuoned a LOT more over the past 3 years -- I accepted way too much as fact
"I only wish I'd have quesioned a LOT more over the past 3 years--I accepted way too much as fact".......I feel the EXACT same way.
My advice to those believing (or wanting so badly to believe the sb) what they are being told now about the safety of the Eola site is to check this out for yourself and DO NOT rely on the judgement of the sb. This is children's safety and I encourage you not to believe all that you are told....VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY with independent experts.
Also, lets not believe and become confident (again) in the hunch of the sb with respect to BB damages. I'm not making the same mistakes twice. What is the saying, "fool me once shame on you , fool me twice, shame on me"...something like that anyway.
BTW, I am not saying that I believe there is a problem at Eola, because I don't have a clue. I am just saying that I feel as though I wanted so badly to believe that everything was 'ok' at BB that I believed it when it was told to me. I should have double checked and researched more and had not followed so blindly. I get the feeling that some people may be potentially making the same mistake now.
