My point is I personally feel that the NSFOC is damaging their credibility The thing is, it really doesn't matter what you or I or Metzger or Daeschner or anyone in D204 thinks. About NSFOC or about how much the BB land is worth or whether or not BB deserves $20 M in damages and attorney fees. It matters what the judge and potentially the jury thinks. So I guess everyone can discuss credibility till the cows come home and it won't really matter one way or another. Unless you start making comments regarding Hail Mary passes in the press, then I guess it does matter. But I only see one side making those kinds of mistakes.

BB damages will be determined by the judge, not the jury. As far as Nsfoc goes, it remains to be seen if they have the funding to move forward with this fiasco called a lawsuit.

For goodness sake, BB already used that Metzger quote in the case against 204 already. I'm pretty confident it will be revisited in the damages case.

I think it will live in infamy. Hey, we could create our own Letterman Top 10 List of favorite MM quotes. I think the Hail Mary one would be near the top but I think today's comment on "glee" is pretty good. Anyone else's favorites? ;D

What is the likelihood of the court granting your request for a new trial for the Brach-Brodie property? Metzger : I can't answer that. You 'd have to ask the lawyers. Q. You are a lawyer. Metzger : Those motions are rarely granted.

Never, ever, ever,” he said. “We made a commitment in September that we will only spend capital funds on this project, and we intend to keep that commitment.”

Just curious. His stating September as the starting date is my first clue. What did we spend out of operating funds PRIOR to September? Quick take lobby fees? Anyone know how much? From what I've heard, when you hire the most expensive lobbyists in Springfield you've got to fork over alot of $$$. How much Mark? Edit: I would calculate that $$ amount into the walk away from BB cost as well. That number should be made public so that all residents are aware.

Well in order to tell us they would have to know how much they've spent. Wonder if they know now? Now what? Dist. 204 officials talk about Metea Valley Daily Herald (Arlington Heights, IL) - November 9, 2007 Q. Do you have any idea what you've spent so far on the legal process? Metzger : I haven't asked (Dave Holm , assistant superintendent for business) but I'd be surprised if our costs are over $1 million.
