Maybe pictures of the actual deaths at the Carlsbad explosion/fire that cooked 12 people (including children) who were farther from the underground pipeline failure than the MV school will be from the pipelines on that property.
I think all 12 can be shown in the 3 minutes alloted.

I think we are all just too close to this situation. There is not enough interest outside the Naperville area to draw concern to this. It's political small potatoes at this point. This state is such a political and economic disaster that nobody cares about a bunch of rich, entitled suburbans in a wealthy school district.
Is anyone going to the meeting tomorrow night? i would be willing to do public comment again. If anyone is interested in working on a letter with me drop me a personal note.

What purpose does it serve to attend the meeting? They are just planning to present us the same false BS they have been feeding us for over a year now. If anyone believes that we are getting the "straight up" information you are crazy. This deal smells bad for sure. I am confident that the SB is posturing this deal to appear all is A OK.

That is the exact reason to be there. To witness.

Has anyone heard what the teachers unions have had to say about the Eola site. I do not know if this is true or not, but I have been told that the senior teachers will not work at this school if it ends up at the EOLA site due to the envirenmental issues/concerns and that the teaching staff will be made up of mostly young new hires. I am surprised that the unions have not been more vocal on this???

Last I heard from the teachers union is that the teachers were fine with the AME site, that they are happy to teach at whichever site is chosen. I am checking with them again to make sure this is still the case. sashimi - where have you heard this? This is not at all what I have heard. I fully believe that the school's staff will include many experienced teachers from both NV and WV.

From the meeting tonight, TSC said they only tested for PCB's where spills had been reported. But from reading the law, the electric company only had to report PCB spills after October 11, 1976. If the plant opened in 1969, as stated at the board meeting, the electric company could have spilled PCB's for 7 years prior to the law being enacted. From what I've read, this stuff doesn't go away. It could still be in the soil. Why didn't they test the whole site??? frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=browse_usc&docid=Cite:+15USC2613

Seems they are not at all happy with the "Daeschner" leadership style and are very worried that the future is pretty bleak for them financially considering what is going down with the third high school situation.

Valerie Dranias, president of the teachers union although I don't have a phone number for her, you could probably do a www.zabasearch.com search

This is in direct contrast to all of the teachers last fall very concerned about lack of a/c in the ES.

Easy to solve the AC problem.. drill holes in the glass that is preventing the designed ventilation in the buildings.
