Outrage isn't the word, only school who could be switched would be Gombert, there goes T1 balancing.

I agree with you gatormom, someone would have to be switched out of one of the other schools or Peterson would just have to be crowded in to one. I don't get why Peterson should be so obvious for a boundary change. Isn't it true there are very few residents actually there yet? I'm coming to terms with BD making the long commute and separating from it's middle school as a community that has been supporting the district for 20+ years. What makes Peterson different? Could it be the million dollar homes? Very cynical of me...sigh and shake my head. funny though how when you move to an area and you are told your middle school is 5 - 6 MILES from your house, your subdivision attends it because that is the way it is. We have done that in May Watts for the 20 years I have been here. Why didn;t someone OBVIOUSLY see we should have been closer to our MS ? Because that is the way the boundaries were drawn and we attended with NO complaints, and Peterson will do the same. Did having a MS so far from where we built change my opinion ? No. All we knew is that it was a good school, so that's the way it was. Not everything in Peterson is $1M+ - there is also plenty of land zoned for multi family....

I feel people think Peterson will get moved because they need that area to develop to get the numbers the SB is predicting. Right now there are 2 reasons that area has stopped growing. 1) the price of the homes and 2) the HS issue.

But if the referendum passes and we are on our way to 3 great high schools, won't the HS issue be solved for the Peterson area? Will there still be a problem because they are at Waubonsie?

I don't think anyone cares about Peterson developing but the builders who own lots...I'm certainly not concerned.....

It's why I'm concerned they will switch boundaries. I'm not only concerned of the potential effect on FRY, but for ANY school, subdivision that could be effected. It's disconcerting to me.

I just have one question, who would be switched with Peterson?

It has been thought we may be switched with Peterson. Peterson to NV and Fry to WV.

And, I would suggest anyone drive by the infamous "ghost town"....I don't think it's a ghost town. No it doesn't have a hundred homes going up simultaneously, but I see plenty of trucks.
I think we're tainted....if we don't see frenzied building then we see bust....there is such a thing as normal pace of growth.
soxfan...again, it's not just TG that would oppose switches....I think things would get so ugly at the slightest hint...

Wow, I would never have guessed that. I thought, even though not an even switch, it would be Gombert, after all didn't they want to stay at WV?

I just don't get what this would achieve? And Fry is at New ITRP so no one leaves NV when Peterson moves there?
