Saw the ad in The Sun for this - concert series at Naper Settlement. Bring your own picnic, buy your beer and wine there. Ravinia in Naperville! And up and coming bands instead of the sad, in-decline, depressing has-been bands that dominate Rib Fest and Last Fling! Way to go Punch Club... you could seriously string together a great set of shows with just up and coming Chicago bands... Fruit Bats, Chin up chin up, Office, The Redwalls, The Sea and Cake/Archer Prewitt ... etc. I hope this continues! www.napervillesummernights.com/

Cantigny did that 2 years ago, but it was with the DuPage Symphony and rather costly. People even set up tables and chairs and had wine/cheese/bread trays. I like classical music, so I enjoyed it....(my family was bored). They even played the 1812 Overture and shot off cannons at the finale.
We went because my son had to write about a musical performance he had attended during first semester of 6th grade Music appreciation class. Unfortunately, WVHS hadnt had their concerts yet, and the article was due.
