I brough this up again in another thread.
On their funding speadsheet files with the state, they only have a loan of $500 from the guy in Colishaw.
They have done major leaflets, have hundreds of signs and run a website.
The loan was for a Sun ad?
So I ask how can they afford all of this with no money?
Could someone pay for all this and not have CFO declare it?
And if someone did who would it be an why?
OR am I just reading their filing wrong?

I think the problem is that the PACs have only had to report through 2/19/06 so far (all contributions itemized), That was nearly a month ago. To put it in perspective, you would have had to donate in the week or so following the boundary decision. Outside of that, I think they only need report contributions in excess of $500 on a more timely basis. Someone looking to game the system could definitely make contributions at a specific date and in specific amounts to avoid reporting until as late as possible. I don't think this is happening though, as I'm not a big fan of the conspiracy theories. I think they'll be required to file again just before the election, so keep an eye out. I have personally not received a single piece of NO literature at my residence (maybe they're afraid of me ). Im starting to doubt if they actually exist, or if it's just some lady with a confusing web page, and a few homemade signs done with a magic marker. Also, from what I've heard, about 6 subdivisions have independently (as private citizens, not through the PACs such as 204theKids) raised funds and bought pro-referendum advertising space throught the Sun, Herald, an other local publications. It ought to be an interesting 10 days.

They can also file on paper in the local court house and let the normal sluggishness of the system help keep it from reaching electronic form to the state board. Technically, they are still within the law. Previously I suggested that those interested in seeing stuff not posted yet go to either the DuPage county or Will county clerks of the court.

My area of Gombert, lots of Yes signs, has not recieved anything from CFO. Another area close to me and in Gombert got the CFO literature some time this week. Maybe they are concentrating on areas they think they can sway and not the areas they believe are lost to them.

I guess the yellow sign scared them off? I went to read my neighbor's to see what convincing information was on there, but it was just a bunch of questions with a no box checked for each of them. No information that would help a person trying to make a decision.

Luckily, some companies still stick to their guns and hold out for one that is specific before turning things over.

So a 2 sides 2color 500 signs would be about $1000

The yes signs were about 2.50 each from what I've heard, so that sounds about right.
