fwiw - always thought that particular Joe's was poorly run and not even the quality food of other Joe's - the one on Weber had better service and better food, so not surprised to see it gone. Also agree FWIW on KeyWester - overpriced for what you get, the seafood at Hugo's Frog bar is similarly priced ( cheaper at lunch ) - and far better quality IMHO !

I would hope I could make the next CRUST meeting. I'm traveling the first half of the week of the 22nd if that's what you're planning this month.
We used to eat at Joe's every once in awhile. The food was never gourmet, but it was good and the place was very kid-friendly. The last two times we went the food was pretty bad and we even mentioned something to a waitress. She told us the place was going to be closing soon to be remodeled. We weren't planning to go back until after the remodel...which I guess is never.
Key Wester is definitely overpriced for the food. For us, the best time to go to Key Wester is in late Spring when its warm out and there's a little bit of a breeze. You get a table on the patio, a margarita, and listen to Buffett (and ignore the Route 59 traffic).
