What happened to the Joe's Crab Shack by Mall? After waiting 9 months (they say you shouldn't consume seafood while pregnant) I go by there and they are closed!  What happened? |

I think just that one closed...Not enough biz, it never seemed very busy when we went to the Fox valley one. There is another one that is still open at Butterfield Rd and Finley in Downers Grove

Wow Really, I though they were really crowded every time I went there
The same with Chi-Chi's they closed down.
How is Key Westerner? Is it expensive? Is the food good?

I didn't think too much of Key Wester. The food is good (not great), yet the prices seemed a bit high. The atmosphere is neat though. The service blowed.
I was suprised by that mexican place by the mall (near Tweeter) - I forgot the name. Went there as a fluke for lunch with the wife one day and it was really good.
Boy I really miss Montage (used to be in the Dominick's Strip mall by 95th and 59) and the orginal Washington Square. Haven't found any places to replace them for special nights out.

I have to agree on Keywester. It's OK food, but not great and a little expensive IMHO. It's owned by Portillos.

Yep, that's it, really enjoyed that place (maybe it was the Margaritas ) Maybe Friaco's should be the next location for the CRUST meeting? (Citizens Resistant to Unethical Scare Tactics). As WVHS parent said, we are due for one soon. If it happens, everybody should try to show up, including Lacy, CWAGA, and blankcheck. You guys are resistant to scare tactics also, so why not try to find common ground in this and attend? It would be an interesting meeting, to say the least. |

I went to Joe's when it had first closed and saw that it had a health dept sign in the window. We go to Friaco's pretty regularly, and they have very good food. I would be up for a CRUST meeting there. I would also suggest Paulie's Grill and Pub on Eola/ New York. They are owned by the Fox and Hound people, so I have heard, and their food was very good. |

I think we should arrange the meeting during the week of the 23rd....after the next real news comes out.
Some real news will be a relief for the boards so the FUD threads like "tick tock", "5-4-3-2-1 blastoff", and "LOOK OUT! GRENADE!!!" will die out.
