Cat hair or dust bunnies?
Probably wouldn't hurt to blow it out first to see if you can free it. Beyond that, some place like tiger direct or best buy should have the parts. I could do it too if we can identify the fan type needed (radio shack usually sells the small muffin fans).

I agree...Try TigerDirect's Outlet warehouse...they probably have them in stock, should be an easy replacement.
Oh Yeah, My other new geeky place to go is Fry's Electronics at Finley s/o Rt 56 in Downers Grove.

The key is to find the correct part number for your model.
Then ,you could just buy it off fleabay or somewhere else online and do the open computer surgery yourself.

While Fry's is great for selection, I always feel they are treating me like a criminal every time I walk in. I don't know why.
Unfortunately, with the seemingly imminent collapse of CompUSA it may be our only choice soon. CompUSA seems on fast path self-destruct mode.

Bob,
There is a computer repair shop on 75th ave just west of Rickert (in the same strip as the Blockbuster). I think it's called Chicago Computers.
It came pretty highly reccomended to me.
Good luck.

Bring it over to Lacy's house. I'm sure she'd love to "fix" your computer...with a sledge hammer!!! ;D

Any ideas of what to do next?
I did buy an external drive case so I could pull my harddrive and make it a back up for the desktop.
