Ideas that have worked for YOUR school

Okay, Gatormom and I had this idea about tapping into the many people who visit this board and post.
We come from all areas of the district. Many times, our schools are trying to come up with ideas/activities for our families to enjoy, extra fundraising, etc. Doesnt matter if it is ES, MS, or HS. Whatever your ideas are that have worked for your school.

For example, as publicized, Gombert had a pancake breakfast as a fundraiser. We also have Movie Nights at our school, and one of our social's was a Bingo Night.

Over at Kendall we have had an all school art fair, using some art from Art Awareness and the art teacher; pottery painting on a Saturday; McDonald's nights; we have four skate nights a school year; carnival in the spring; a dance; a Holiday Shoppe; after 9-11 we all got together to make fleece blankets that went out to children affected by the terrorist attacks, which I believe was worked out through Project Linus out of Joliet; ice cream social right before school starts after teacher meet & greet; hmm, it seems like we did more but gosh I am drawing a blank! If I remember more I will post.
