WeBe Whendid MM say that? I would not be surprised if no other buyers approached the district, BTW, who would want to embroil themselves into this mess? I "School board President Mark Metzger said Friday afternoon that he had not yet been presented with any offers from the church." The quote above is what I was referencing. Mark seems to think he has such a great poker face when he is talking press. The word "HE" above does not mean the administration had not been approached. I believe the administration does the negotiations not Mark. Just a feeling is all. Again, all my typical rumor channels are silent. Which tells me something else as well. That if this deal did get done. Not many know about it. For me it does not really change anything.. My original 4 questions are still out there looking for the truth... 1) Original BB legal fees and damages 2) Last weeks new BB related complaint 3) 25 archers of remaining BB land 4) NSFOC lawsuit So, the beat goes on.. Not to mention I think the build smart guidelines are still not followed. For those on green still which hunting that is were you start if you want to find out why outside parties are reviewing the tapes of the last few board meetings and why various people are/have been sent to watch the board during its meetings. Net, Net the drama continues.

Some quick AM math, but using this AME number and the budget costs you can calculate that our original bid for the MWGEN land was $121.3K/acre. If we now have to buy 37.5 acres at AME's price of $245k/acre, our land costs at AME just went up about $4.6MM I found this on Potluck. If this is true is it the "will of God" or a great business transaction the nets the church a huge windfall. By A Gift For Arch on April 12, 2008 7:26 AM Last night the real estate transaction history was looked up for Eola site, and we found out that the AME church bought their 83 acres from Midwest Gen (yes, the same guys) in 2004. They also paid only $2.9 million for those 83 acres ($35,000 per acre). The district was offering AME about $12 million for 49 acres (that's $245,000 per acre). That's 7 times the price AME paid in 2004 in just 4 years - 700%! - for the same industrial type property that may be polluted as well. This brings into question the seven secret reports of environmental results. Were those reports perhaps from some of the AME property??? How reckless can our district be with our money! Somebody tell me this ain't so!!!! I am calling my lawyer If the original land bought from AME included the 9 or 10 acres of wetlands, wouldn't it stand to reason that the remaining acres to buy would be more expensive? If this is the case, and 2010 is more likely outcome, cost difference with BB is much less. That is, unless swampland is more expensive in District 204.

Arch, I'm clueless here. Why do you think the school won't be built if we buy the AME land. Because of NSFOC filing an injunction? Several reasons. 1) lack of funds after BB is done having their way with us. No "we need more money" referendum will ever pass for that land because it is claimed that doing that at BB would never happen either. I would say passing another referendum for BB has a FAR BETTER chance of passing then another referendum for Eola. One only has to look at how far south they have to pull to even fill the place. That right there tells how much of a snowball's chance in he!! it has of passing. 2) It is still a neighbor to the power lines, the land with KNOWN contamination and the pipelines. Do not underestimate 'Momma Lioness" when it comes to hazards and kids. I could probably list 20 more but 1 and 2 are more than enough. It will p!ss away money and lock it up forever with 0 prospects of going forward. *THAT* is why this decision (if it happens) will kill the 3rd HS forever and one only has to look for who says 'AYE' to see who is to blame. They need to look elsewhere and re-engage BB. If they have no one with enough sense or humility to do that I will do it for them for free. They obviously need help. What remains to be seen is if they can get to step 1 and REALIZE they need help.

Not that it's a big deal but I typically have better luck when I email the SB members individually. If I do the group email, I usually only hear back from one person (and it changes all the time). It's as if they're each assigned a day to answer group emails.
I always encourage others to email individually and FWIW, I usually list it as BCC or undisclosed recipient (then they don't kow who else is included on your email). Works for me....

This I feel for the children of 204 and the use of God in this is very offensive to me. The good old Rev. will be laughing all the way to the bank. I bet you he buys on Macom and will have extra funds to boot. The rev. is using 204's desperation to his advantage. The use of God in this and the Rev. name calling is offensive.

I know... I need to see what happens Monday so that the 'off the deep-end fanatical witch-hunters' don't come after me with buckets of paint or a lawsuit regarding Tortious_interference Heaven forbid someone steps up and says "Hey, stop trying to stick the fork into the outlet". It's been rather pathetic watching people devolve this into a "We have to win or we have to make sure THEY don't win" scenerio.
