Indian Prairie School District 204 has announced the appointments of several elementary school principals for next school year.
Dr. Kristen Ross, a 30-year education veteran, is the new principal at Gombert Elementary School. She currently serves as assistant superintendent with Kankakee School District 111. In addition to District 111, she also served in administrative roles with DeKalb and West Aurora school districts. Dave Worst, current Gombert Elementary principal, will transition to principal of Spring Brook Elementary.
Moira Arzich, interim Spring Brook Elementary principal, has been appointed to serve as principal for Fry Elementary where she also once served as assistant principal. Kim Stephens will leave the top Fry Elementary post to serve as principal for Georgetown Elementary where principal Steve Selle has announced his retirement.
Brian LeCrone will assume the role of principal at Brookdale Elementary. For the past two years he has served as principal for Kimball Hill Elementary School in Rolling Meadows. Terri Drendel will transition to Welch Elementary to serve as assistant principal.
Kathy Birkett, Indian Prairie deputy superintendent, is enthusiastic about the principal appointments. "We are very excited about the caliber of the individuals who have chosen to assume these roles in our district. We believe they will compliment the excellent principals who are already in District 204."
