According to some claiming to be 'in the know' the land contract with AME is signed.
If true, there should be an announcement pending.

Tell me this isn't true....If this is true I'm going to barf and more.
It really it sick that the SB thinks they are above the law, and rules don't apply to them. When it comes we will all will get punished for their arrogance and using the Delphi Technique on us.

Well, it will be interesting if the Brodie suit Count #2 sticks, and we can't use ref funds to buy the AME land.

I thought the church just offered the land last Friday and the SB just voted it in on Monday. How would all of the documents needed be in order that quickly?

The land contracts were signed Monday night after the SB meeting...the rumor is the land has closed...which would mean the money has changed hands.

I believe this to be true now. It's official when an announcement happens, but multiple people have heard it straight from the horse's mouth.

Actually since the SB voted to sign the contracts Monday I am assuming they were in fact signed that evening with the Rev and some trustees in tow. To approve the contracts the SB would have to have them in front of them.
The previous vote in Jan, I thought, was to approve the site recommendation and pursue a contract with MWGen and AME.
I would agree that they could not draw up contracts, do site plans, etc and close in 24 hrs. Which leads me to believe that they have been working on this for weeks.

Was there any doubt that they would close without an appraisal?
Really, is there any person out there that closed on a property without an appraisal, even if you didn't need a mortgage?

Didn't the contingencies on the contracts say they had to take title of the AME AND the MWG land?
