In all seriousness, is there really talk of a Catholic HS on the Macom land?
I think that would be a great idea and certainly would fill up.

I really hope that happens. That would be great for Macom and our city. We do need alternatives.
I wonder if the diocese buys it, will there be an outcry about EMF's and being 0.2 miles from RR tracks and above ground gas storage.....I sure hope not. Schools are a good thing, IMO, even if they are not on the best of land due to buildout. It would be a shame if Macom couldn't sell to a school due to all of the uproar we have created.

It didn't stop D204 from buying land where 6 active pipelines are located (twice as many as Macom) and 3 of which run right through the middle of the property. The RR tracks cancel each other out as do the power lines. The hydrogen sulfide tank presents a predicament though... so I definitely would pass on the school, personally. I'm sure it's safe and there's absolutely nothing that can go wrong with it... nope nope...

Alternatively - how about the new D205 high school - the district would include NV and Macom Valley.
