Maybe the mediation will lead to the resignation which will be the remediation!

I'm all for mediation as long as M2 is not allowed to speak!

I actually think the judges comments are quite interesting. He suggested remediation. Isn't this what you guys have wanted all along? A chance to be heard? I think you will have a heck of a lot more power with a neutral guy who will say, "Now, Dash, let's let the other side voice their opinions." I know some feel this is a waste of time, but many of you have said this is the most important reason you feel the way you do is that you haven't been heard. A chance to say, hey, we are not the evil ones in this deal like you make it out to be. We have some valid concerns about how you are running the district. We want to sit down and talk with you. I'm not sure if communication is that important with the NSFOC group however, so they may choose the more aggressive approach. As far as BB or nothing goes, there probably isn't a lot of room for discussion. There will be a lot of eyes on this group to see their next chess move. I'd be all for this if the following happened 1). SB stopped all construction, and legal parties suspended their lawsuits. 2). Mediation was open to the media, and public observers. 3). Mediators came from out of district. 4). Anything that can be supported by data actually is, ie transportation costs, net present value analysis It would be interesting to see the SB's reaction to such an offer. I can hear the laughter and snickering ( and scoffing ) now. If someone can get them to do this, we have a new presidential candidate.

Maybe the mediation will lead to the resignation which will be the remediation! I would see that as a 'good start' - but still doesn't fix many of the issues that have us where we are today. ( but might allow for some actual chance to correct some things )--

The SB/Admin is wedged. A Crowbar is coming. The result will be damage to the taxpayers and the district if they do not remove themselves from the corner they put themselves in. Personally, I think they are in denial about the predicament. I agree. I think we're also seeing how they "negotiated" with BB. Something along the lines of "screw you". And we know how that worked out.

Another thing to consider:
Back when there was mention of a lawsuit being filed the SB was asked for a reaction. They had none because they had not seen the lawsuit. IE: No interest in even discussing it or even going the route of communications.
What makes anyone think they will talk to a mediator? They have 0 obligation to, so if appears like they won't. I've offered to talk with them about many of these issues before this all started. They didn't want to talk.
TO ALL SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS READING THIS BOARD:
I WILL BE HAPPY TO PUT MYSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS IF IT MEANS A DIALOGUE OR OPEN FORM OF COMMUNICATIONS CAN BEGIN.
You have my contact info.

Snerdley, do you really think the BB folks are all angels? I am not saying our SB members are either but look at how Brach is letting us sell the property but Brodie is sitting on it. Do you really think they have to contemplate whether they want to keep this land in this market? No, they are saying "screw you" to us as well.
I also don't know about the Macom /SB relationship either. We clearly need women to do the negotiating around here. Less egos. Maybe we would have had another site other than Eola on which to build. The Eola people are probably the only ones that are civil and that is why we have the site we have. It's too bad that egos got in the way because that is why we are where we are today, but I don't think this is a one way street. Just my opinion.

Hey Sleepless - reading your posts on the other board. I would love to comment there, but I registered last weekend and have yet to receive the confirmation email. Anyway, the 9 "FOCers" as you like to call them, do not have to come up with the money for any of this alone. There had to be specific names on the complaint and those are the nine people who offered to put theirs. I'm not one of the nine and I speak for many that there are a LOT more people closely following this then are named on the complaint.
I also find it interesting that you all keep relying on one or two incidents to support your idea of the "real" reasons behind all this. I wish you and sushi would have come to the Fry PTA meeting with CB, I think it would have done you a world of good in terms of your perspective. But that's not something you all really want, is it?

It would be nice if some of the anti-"foc"ers would at least acknowledge their efforts to get this issue resolved BEFORE too much money is spent by our district. The SB/SD are the ones who are prolonging things and aggressively trying to get something started before a decision comes down. That shows me that they think there might really be something to this.

Sleepless In Npvl, Please!!!! some of the stuff you say. "The Eola people are probably the only ones that are civil and that is why we have the site we have. It's too bad that egos got in the way because that is why we are where we are today"
Maybe the Eola peopler were the only ones how were civil, but I would include the the SB as not being civil also.

AME had nothing to lose & a lot of money to gain. And tons of money to look for new land that isn't questionable, I would of done the same as AME.

Why would they not be civil?? They made millions. Dr. D also stood up in front of everyone praising the owners of Hamman Farms saying they were bending over backwards to sell us the land. Now of course we had to find a cloud there ( and this time couldn't try and pin it on the NPD ) - so we used the Oswego SD. Of course at the time we didn't see the land at MWGEN as an issue. Please ! There has been NO chance of anything else but what we have happening, it is the location/area they want, and nothing else matters

I think to still goes back to SD goal of closing WV
