DR I have listened to your one sided posts for awhile and truly, the only thing that the SB wants to say to PLY's is try to build a big bridge and get over it. There are way more important problems in the world, district, community than a single, ok than a feww 100 people's commute when trying to satisfy tens of thoussands. There...I said what a few hundred one this board wish they had the chutzpah to say to you...Shanti Good for you...I guess I have to look at your posts differently now- I didn't realize you were up for the Nobel. My issues are just as important as everyone else's - my vote counts as much, and my tax dollars count as much. there are plenty of places in the world where that is not true -- you obviously would be more comfotable in one of them. I've never known Chanti to mean - Sit Down and Shut Up - I guess you have a different translation guide. DRW please tell me you are sitting on the couch with your laptop preparing to watch the top of the 11th.

Oh you have the list? You must if you know the number is 400! Please share. Do you?? Because if everyone on every rainbow coalition proboard were not in favor of MV it would still equal less than 2% . When companies like Nielsen do polls- do they call every person in the US ? Every person on blue or green or in the Sun represent others in their area -- really try and keep up.

ru4real, I must say that while I'm impressed with your grasp of languages, I'm not with your grasp of the issues faced across this district. The people from Watts have a very legitimate gripe. They were thrown under the bus, so to speak, for the benefit of the rest of the district. It's an issue that's important to doc and I would think most other people in his area. To just say, "Too bad for you!" doesn't accomplish anything but derision for your opinions. I would suggest taking a moment to think about what you post before clicking the button. And I would say to you ...paint me a scenario of placing thousands of students in three schools and have everyone happy.. Everyone makes sacrifices for the greater good of all..so kindly zip it.

Arch: that is a very intersting idea - installing ACVs at each end of the third of a mile of pipeline bordering the site, and changing the pipes. Have you discussed this in anther thread before? That seems to be something well worth investigating. Cheers. I attempted to when someone said they are safe because they have ACV on the pipelines. I asked where they are and how close are they on both sides of the property because both directions will vent and release pressure back to the valves. The statute reads that as a HCA, each point along the pipeline must be within 2.5 miles of a valve. That really means they can be up to 5 miles apart from each other. The amount of gas that exists at 700PSI for 700 feet (the approximate length of the property) compared to the volume of gas that exists over 5 miles of pipes (the upper limit of the legal requirement for a HCA) or 26,400 feet is a HUGE difference. If the sh!t hits the fan, venting 700 feet of gas is far better than venting 26,400 feet of gas. We're talking about cutting the worst case scenerio potential to 1/37th what it might be right now. Still, I would like to know exactly where (on both sides of the property) the valves are located and the distance between them today. Here's an opportunity to take the wind out of the sails of people concerned about pipeline safety and actually MAKE A DIFFERENCE ABOUT THE REAL SAFETY. Will they do it? It's not a HCA at the moment, but will be when we put a school there so there exists the possibility that the pipeline companies have to do something about it anyway because the distance requirements are tighter for HCAs than areas that are not HCA. Arch: The 20" pipes don't concern me too much - their PIR is significantly lower. The 36" lines however have a much greater PIR. An interesting thing I noted on the Kinder Morgan report was the fact that as the site became occupied, it would become a Class 3 risk, which means they have to do internal pipeline integrity checking every seven years. Coincidentally, or maybe not, this is scheduled for 2008 for the 36" pipeline. The 20" lines were checked earlier in 2006 I believe. This means the gas flow has to be shut down - perfect time for ACVs and pipeline changes. Even if just the 36" lines are changed out, that will make a significant difference. I have done some detailed analysis of pipeline safety that I will post soon (its very tedious and technical!), but I will make note of this. Good thought. Don't know if Kinder Morgan will agree, as it will cost them a bundle, but its worth putting pressure on them, IMHO. Maybe Linda Holmes can intercede here as she did with MWGEN? ;D Stay tuned.... BTW, can someone PM me and tell me how to insert pictures in posts? There are some graphs I need to post. Cheers.

As rural has stated this is not a doc issue, this is a Watts issue- but you are back on the parenting skills as in the past - your view of everyone else is a sad one... how long before we get back to the spoiled brat comments ? Or Scullen is really not crowded ? my child will be attending Benet - what issue do you have with that ? Am I spoiling them ? I await your appraisal because it means so much to me -

There are many families that cannot afford to send their children to private schools. Regardless of the schools we opt to attend, we are members of the district.....my tax bill reminded me of that today!

The constant prattle about It's All About Me under the guise of ,WVStinks, Dr W and whoever else you feign to be and drag as an afterthought Watts into the mix, like you care in 3 years after your kid has graduated. Move on or out.
