My wife had this running up the flagpole for a while at the GS District level working from the other angle. In case you hadn't noticed, they (the district) stopped responding to my communications back in February. If what you state holds true, thank you. But, from what I read from the district's motion to dismiss, just because something is said, doesn't mean it's true. Heck, even if it's printed on district materials, according to them, doesn't mean they have to be held to it. I'm sure many people were working it from both ends. But since word came down today from the GS's, I got on the phone to verify it right away. Now, I'm not saying that my one phone call did the trick, by any means. I'm sure others might have called as well. I don't know. My communications with the district have not ceased. It's too bad they've stopped communicating with you. What's that saying? - "You can attract more bees with honey than with vinegar" (or something like that). I think that might apply here. I've used this as my mantra in the course of my life. It seems to work for me. I don't expect any thanks. My point in that was to give credit where it is due, even if it might pain you to do so. Another phrase comes to mind "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." Meaning that sometimes a good deed is simply a good deed. They take an oath to serve the entire district - obviously you are saying one has to agree with them on everything in order to be heard. In fact, I agree with you. I have been on both sides of this in the last 2 years -- once you stop agreeing like a lemming, they cut you off -- That's not what elected officials are supposed to do - are they ?

No, I'm not saying that at all. In fact, I voiced my disagreement with the hourly fee being charged to the scouts but came at it with a different approach. Funny, it worked. IRL, I'm generally pretty agreeable on many things, or at least, I agree to compromise. There are certain things that I have a passion for and won't give in. Many here have the same passion, but for different things. I respect that. Please respect me and refrain from referring to me as a "lemming". I don't agree with everything this district does, but there are different ways to go about it. I'm not going to get dragged into a discussion on that. I've made my post and clarified the scouting fees. There's no more to I wish to discuss in this thread. I've started another thread on the scouting fees if anyone is interested in specifically that topic.

" I believe if you re read my post you will find I never called you as lemming, so please respect me and not claim I called you something I did not. The only noun in that sentence is I -- as in me- and for me that is exactly true - when I was a good soldier things were fine- but disagree- and you become ignored.
As is clearly posted, I said they cut one off when one stops being a lemming, agreeing with everything they say. Trust me, I know from where I speak --

When I did scouts we ran on a shoestring until our fundrasing came in during the year. I bet this new fee will come ouf the pockets of the leaders. It is nice the they cut the price-but the fact that their is a price for a not for profit is still crummy!!!
