I thought it was interesting that the SB announced the elementary and middle school grandfathering adjustment before the comments, but nothing more.
Does this mean they don't plan on making any more adjustments?, or will they actually listen to the speakers, discuss it amongst themselves and make further adjustments?
Why would they announce that up front?
Very strange....

I actually sent a message earlier today to our SB member appealing him to table the decision on boundaries until all community concerns were addressed appropriately. In the name of all that is holy if they want to get the community's cooperation. I really hope that's what they decide to do, stop a runaway train.

Maybe they anticipated many of the comments tonight would be about that issue and by announcing it up front those people would not have to speak, thus saving time.

Probably to disarm - people were probably concerned about that issue, so mentioning it diffuses some anger and makes them look like they care. fence and slp, you are right about the grandfathering announcement..
What scares me is that they won't make the full adjustments to not split middle schools and make the corresponding moves to make things work out.
We will see.
I should be getting a call from Mrs. AE on the first break and I will tell her that she needs to feed me the updates because of the batteries running out. She has full charge on her cell phone.
Excellent job with the posts WVSHparent. Thank you.

Thanks for the updates. I may head over now and see if people leave to free up some parking spaces.

10 minute break.
A couple have asked to postpone the decisions.
ONLY 2 people have supported the board's decisions.
Stonebridge attendees were rude to some attendees. (I think this had to do with the overcrowding situation in the room).
Many people made excellent points.
Anyone who wants to attend can stand in the satellite room...
Additional info......
Metzger has been reprimanding people for applausing and threatening to shut things down...but he gave up after the 6th or 7th time it happened.
One person asked to postpone the decision and Metzger said "only board members can make suggestions"....Then the resident suggested that someone on the board make the motion right now.... This shut up the board.
Additional Info 2:
Someone said that if this isn't postponed or stopped tonight, then phase 2 will be that it will be stopped in its tracks tomorrow by a non profit initiative...
Sorry that is all for now...Attendees have been ordered to turn off their cell phones. I asked Mrs. AE to possibly give some feedback but we may need to wait until the next break.....
