Indian Prairie officials announced Lena Guerrieri as Kendall Elementary School's new principal and Cecelia Tobin as principal at Indian Plains High School. Both are District 204 veterans.
Guerrieri has served as Kendall's student services coordinator for the past six years. Prior to joining Kendall's staff, she worked for 12 years as a fourth-grade teacher at Brookdale Elementary School.
Since 1999, Tobin has served as instructional coordinator at Indian Plains High School. Before joining the district, Tobin worked for eight years as a middle school teacher in West Aurora District 129.
The district has also promoted Kathryn Birkett from assistant superintendent to deputy superintendent. In her new role she will supervise elementary and secondary education as well as student services.
