Does anyone honestly think that the SD should no longer build MV? If so, you realize, that there will pretty much be no chance of building a 3rd HS ever again, right? The Romans called it vastatio. Scorched earth, poisoning the well, etc. It's all the same thing stemming from the same root cause: spite.

No, it's called: REALITY The reality is many are spiteful about blocking anything being built in general and there are some that are spiteful about blocking anything being built at BB due to the resulting boundaries that were derived.

I have made other comments aside from just the stock photo. My point is that it was a SALES job on the 204 voters by a very clever 204 PAC committee (along with the help of a marketing firm or at least members of the 204 committee were). They pulled at the heartstrings of the voters with overcrowding, 10,000+ enrollment figures, etc. The enrollment figures speak for themselves. Since 2005, we have been on the decline as far as elementary student enrollment goes. You all do not want to admit that but look at the figures. Since 2005, we are down by 286 students. So lets see - enrollment down, land price out of sight - ?? This is all that needs to be said... Catholic es/ms/hs have always been out there and accounted for numbers are down....deal with the CURRENT issue at hand

All Saints on Aurora Ave happened after the growth numbers, I believe. And?? They were not taken into account when they came up with the guesswork number models and the school has pulled kids away from D204. My daughter plays soccer with some that now go there instead of the elementary school they used to. Discount it all you want, but it begins to explain the number 'drop' at the ES level. They will have to come back into the public school at some point because the private ones don't have the extra capacity either, so there will be percentage coming back in at the HS level.

They won't have to if they want a religious education. Please feel free to find out what their enrollment is and post it.

No, it's called: REALITY The reality is many are spiteful about blocking anything being built in general and there are some that are spiteful about blocking anything being built at BB due to the resulting boundaries that were derived. How about the spitefulness about NVHS? It was clear from attending meetings years ago that some people would only support a 3rd high school if their kid got to go to it. It was "their turn", blah, blah and they wouldn't build another "taj mahal," etc. Something must be behind spending anything it takes to get BB. Never mind if it cost millions more. Never mind if enrollment's down - it's "their turn". Is that it?

You do not know all the associated costs to say BB costs millions more other than one segment of the multitude of costs that make up the bill to the taxpayer. I was not around nor did I give a rat's butt about previous spite. I'm sure it happened but that was then, this is now. Just because people acted that way before does not give a blank check for people to act that way again. If it was wrong then, it is wrong now.

I was here and yes SOME of it did exist - by small minded people. It is not a majority viewpoint by any stretch, and was not then either. And now some of the reverse type opinions exist, but they are overlooked and some pretend they don't exist.

Someone set up a poll...Yes or no Who would vote to go back to the original 2 school boundaries and add/on to frontier, NV WV and use portables and not build a 3rd hs???

Glad it is gone ! But opened a lot of eyes.

The district needs to provide to the taxpayers the detailed financial differences between BB, Macom and St. John's. Throwing a few numbers around in the paper doesn't cut it.
