I would imagine the girls volleyball coach has not yet been identified. Perhaps coming from the outside?
I did an internet search on Pat Fulener, Girls Soccer Coach. There is a person by the same name that was involved with the Fox Valley Soccer Club in Geneva area. I'm not a soccer person, but would bet it's one and the same. Metea will be excellent in the sports category. Tom Schweer is phenomenal....I've had reason to know of him this year at Waubonsie and he'll lead Metea Athletics well. THe Football coach has been the head coach at St. Charles East. Paul Murphy (WVHS head football coach) needs to up his intensity if he plans to compete with this guy. A huge plus for Metea football players.
Head Baseball Coach - Tomzcak - coached my son freshman and sophomore years. The team won conference both years. Excellent coach. Plays all boys. Doesn't yell. This team of boys are juniors this year and will play under Fezzulgio. Waiting to see what will happen???
These appointments are huge plusses for athletes going to Metea. I don't know the basketball coach from NV. Any word on him??

I forgot I was going to comment on the Lacrosse. I was just talking to a Lacrosse mom (freshman) who told me Lacrosse won't be a Varsity?IHSA sport for another 2 years? Something about 18 schools in Illinois needing to commit? I am not clear on this, but as of last night, it's not something I'd see staffed for fall 2009.

It is a 'club sport' ala ice hockey right now - as teams continue to grow. There are currently 36 girls teams playing -- www.ihswla.org/ihswla/teams.htnFYI - Neuqua has a boys and girls team ( all levels) - ( as does Central / North & Benet in this area ) - so it doesn't have to do with being a 'varsity' sport ( as these schools have freshman- JV and Varsity teams ) - it has to do with being sanctioned for a state championship. As it stands now the girls Lacrosse players moving from NV to WV are out of luck as are the WV boys players moving to Metea. As far as volleyball, Neuqua has like 8 coaches in the girls program - WV has at least 5 - why would they go outside ?

Teachers pulled from WV = 44 = 57% Teachers pulled from NV = 33 = 43%
And I assume NV has a bigger teacher pool due to having more students. So WV is taking an even bigger hit on their experienced teacher pool.
Wonder if we can expect the same ratios going forward?

D204mom, your point is well taken, though with the winding down of the Freshman center maybe more of those teachers will be at MVHS.
