I have recently heard that Alderman Keith has pushed forward the placement of a stoplight at Frontenac and McCoy by the beginning of the 2009-10 school year.
This will allow Metea students coming from Owen West and and possibly WVHS students coming from WE and Fry to avoid the grade level crossing on Ogden by using the underpass on McCoy.

That would be a very good thing, indeed.

I think a new light is always a good thing, but in reality, I think this helps the Owen W kids and the McCarty kids. The WE/Fry kids are already by passing a 95th St crossing, and a crossing at Montgomery Rd to get to Ogden and now the Ogden crossing to go to McCoy?, doubt that's gonna happen.
And what does that do to all the Google routes that I was told showed that I lived closer to WV than to my garage?

That's a good thing as traffic on that particular road is about to explode in the fall -- with Cowlishaw and Watts using it on their daily trek and others using it to avoid the increase in trains from the merger- they may need to look at other improvements on McCoy also -- It's wagons westward now --

That's a much higher capacity road.

Would be nice to know, but transportation information for the 2009/2010 school year is hard to come by... the best we get looks like something out of a United Route magazine that makes the whole world look like you can fly to Chicago from anywhere on the globe in under 30 minutes.
