Here's what came from Bob McBride at 8:03 am.
Good morning Neuqua Valley High School Parents and Guardians:
This morning, Monday, February 23, our Gold Building was placed in a non-emergency lockdown. This lockdown lasted approximately 30 minutes. The purpose of this non-emergency lockdown was to conduct a K-9 search of student lockers. The search was done in partnership with the Naperville Police Department and the search procedures were consistent with current practices in neighboring school districts. Interruption to the academic day was minimal.
Today's search went well, and we will continue to proactively address the safety needs of our students in order to maintain an outstanding learning environment. I appreciate your efforts to speak with your children about the need to maintain a safe and orderly environment at school. Also, thank you for your continued support of Neuqua Valley High School. The rationale behind this search is simple-- if some students decide to bring illegal substances to school, we will do everything we can to find them.

An auto message from Rudy Keller at WV Gold said the same thing -- although I wondered what was meant by "today's search went well". Does that mean they found expected contraband? Found none? No student freaked out at the prospect of possibly being busted?
