Teacher wins national award

Steve Skorup of Waubonsie Valley High School was recently honored by the International Technology Education Association as one of 38 teachers from across the U.S. to receive its prestigious Teacher Excellence Award.
The award is one of the highest honors given to technology education classroom teachers. The awards were distributed as part of ITEA's second general conference session.
This ITEA award was presented as a result of Skorup's name being forwarded following the Technology Education Association of Illinois fall conference.
Skorup was previously recognized at the state level as the Teacher of the Year at the Technology Education Association of Illinois ITEC state conference held in October in Peoria.
