The results of yesterdays primary and a gut feel why it wont pass. Of the total refs proposed, 26 of them were for tax increases. As you can see the results, all but 4 were voted down. And of those that were passed were Tower Lakes - add $37/year for garbage/recycling, Forest Park - add $87/year, etc. Of the 20 proposed tax increases for School use statewide only 6 passed with 3 by less than 4%. So bring on the ref so we can shoot it down and move on.
Two refs that passed were for pension reform !! Whoever is voted in as Gov better take notes and get it changed and under control.
