In my snail mail today, a letter from Richard Furstenau, providing voting guidance. His 204 slate: Strick, Huang, Vickers, and Desart Gotta admit, that would be interesting His angle is that Strick, Huang, Vickers, and Desart (and the other candidates he mentions) would ... "be the most diligent in watching taxpayer's dollars..." FWIW, in City Council he likes Krause, Hinterlong, Schneider, and Gustin. PD is Hart, Heide, Reilly, and Young (4yr) and Schaffner (2yr).

All due respect to Strick (I like his direct style and no punches held back attitude). However, I just do not see him as a viable candidate. Also, isn't Furstenau a nut?
100% behind Huang, and could vote for Vickers. I also do not think I would cry if Strick or DeSart got in. The problem is that with the two slates of candidates that exist now (the first slate of four vs the "unofficial" slate of Rising, DeSart, Peuhl and Rasmus), I am scared to death of diluting the votes and having Rasmus and Peuhl end up getting in.
I think since we do not seem to be able to avoid the north vs south battle, it is all or nothing. You vote for one slate or the other if you want a chance of not having a sweep by the slate that you do not support.
I am not even sure if the slate of my four (led by Huang..who I think is going to be great) are the best four, but it is better than the alternative (which has Peuhl and Rasmus). Thus, they are in fact my four.
This is what 204 has come down to...a chess game blocking the other sides pieces.

Vickers? Not so sure I can support her. At one point it seemed she was conscientious about taxpayer dollars.....however she has voted in approval of many extra $ surrounding Metea. Can't spend money we don't have! The current SB has not been working in support of being fiscally responsible, so I can't bring myself to vote for any incumbents this time around.

I too am scared of Sue or Cathy getting in for 4 years (this then has 2 more years of M2 control of SB) however, Mark is an independant voice and so is Vickers. I think there will be lots of folks that pick their top 2 or 3 from the taxpayer slate and integrate them into their other picks (Mark, Vickers). I would think many folks "from the other side" would also do the same (I have heard many on green like Jerry). as long as there are zero votes for Cathy piel I am a happy man. a bonus would be minimal votes for Sue. I could live with Dawn or vickers in a SB seat. I would LOVE for Mark R to get a seat. I like Jerry and Eric. Should be an intesting week next week!!! ;D

I did not vote for ANY incumbents. I WILL NOT vote for any incumbants in 2011 either. Need a clean slate. lets wash away the last 2 years of disfunction and move forward...

I thought the PTA was already well represented on the SB.
