Everyone, in the interest of ending the acrid debate and allowing us all to move forward, I have moved a number of threads to a folder in the archive and I am moving many recent discussions of Hamman, Macom, AME, Midwest Gen, and some of the then, rather opinionated banter to it and making it non-visible to standard members and visitors for one month.
Please feel free to create new threads, to discuss the topics and challenges facing our district moving forward.
It is my cool-down period for this discussion board. A decision has been made an it's time to move forward with that decision and support it as a community.
I am hoping this will give the community time to heal, and reset the focus on moving forward, not carrying grudges of the past. We did something similar on this board after the 2nd referendum and the SB elections as well.
Threads I have moved:
"The New High School - Metea Valley" board-
- Hamman
- District 204 In Damage Control
- You get what you voted for
- Informant's Idea of FINAL BOUNDARIES
- Pictures of the recommended AME Metea Site
- New Idea
- May Watts Meeting 1/15
- EMF DATA - don't fall for the scare tactic
- Photo comparison - Power stations at AME and Macom
- Where is the new HS going?
- Where is the new HS going? - Part 2
- Where is the new HS going? - The Missing Posts
I'd also like to share an incident from the life of Abraham Lincoln
We've used this discussion board to write our letters for the last few months. We had a good time and we feel better for it. I am not burning the letters, just putting them away for a bit as I fear they can only do harm right now.
As for myself, I am going to set my pen aside for a while and focus on being a dad. Enjoy the board.

I'd also like to share an incident from the life of Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln's secretary of war, Edwin Stanton, was angered by an army officer who accused him of favoritism. Stanton complained to Lincoln, who suggested that Stanton write the officer a sharp letter. Stanton did, and showed the strongly worded missive to the president. "What are you going to do with it?" Lincoln inquired. Surprised, Stanton replied, "Send it." Lincoln shook his head. "You don't want to send that letter," he said. "Put it in the stove. That's what I do when I have written a letter while I am angry. It's a good letter and you had a good time writing it and feel better. Now burn it, and write another."
